Stuart Reese has been a member of the NZPGA for over 34 years.

He turned professional after winning the 1975 NZ Amateur Champs and representing NZ in the Commonwealth Tournament in South Africa.

Stuart spent over 13 years as a touring professional, playing all over the world with more than 15 tournament wins to his name, including the 1982 NZPGA title and the Queen Mary Open in California.

He also came runner up in the NZ Open and 3rd in the Australian Masters. He represented NZ in 2 World Cups and in the inaugural Dunhill Cup at St Andrews in 1985 with Bob Charles and Frank Nobilo.

After finishing on tour Stuart spent 11 years in Sweden as a teaching professional. From 1989 – 1998 he was head professional at the Tranas GK, 3 hours south of Stockholm.

He returned to New Zealand in December 1998 as the resident professional at the Peninsula Golf Club on the Hibiscus Coast where he still teaching today.

For 2 years Stuart was Director of Education for the NZPGA.
